Man it's quiet here, huh?
I'd like to say that while the summer flashed by faster than it takes my Wii to load Lego Star Wars, we FINISHED walking Westford! But alas, this just isn't true. The truth is we haven't walked at ALL in weeks... upon weeks. Until Saturday. Finally we got back to it! A nice 3 mile walk from the Rte. 110 Post Office, down Concord Rd. to Old Lowell Rd., picking up a few off-shoots and then to my mom's house. Nothing overly exciting to share. This is the territory I grew up in so most sites here are nothing notable for me.
We did pass the swan pond that Mr. MacDonald keeps up and noted how cool his new stone bridge looks. It's such a beautiful spot: lush green fields, beautiful gardens, two stark white swans swimming on the pond. My daughters love it there, since Mr. MacDonald is kind enough to allow them to visit with my mother periodically. Thanks Bernie!
I passed a mailbox on Concord Rd. that I actually painted the numbers on many years ago... let's see maybe like 12 years ago. Sturdy mailbox. But that's all another story. :)
We looped around Jennie Richards Rd. There is one house still on the market there. HUGE place... same builder/style as ours but larger and with a considerably larger price tag. Really nice place. We love our house... Roddy Palmer was the builder. Real high quality details. Wish he'd finish our road though as the driveway is cracking away to oblivion each winter. Roddy? You out there?
Anyway... we do still exist... we are walking, eventually. The fall is a good time right? Maybe with the kids in school we can find the time. Maybe we just need some encouragement! A little peer pressure! Come on! Who's out there? Lay it on! The guilt, the jeers, anything!
Roads walked: Concord Rd, small chunk of Powers Rd, Old Lowell Rd, Jennie Richards Rd, Black Bear Rd.

I'm still reading! (Just not blogging.)
I was just happy to see you get out to our side of town. We live way at the other end of Old Lowell Rd. I still have your feed in my newsreader and it's always interesting to hear about different parts of the town I live in. Maybe someday I or someone else can blog about walking all the Westford trails...
Just Lurking...
Fall is a great time for walking. Keep it up! Have fun and keep blogging!
